CREATIVE Spotlight: Meet Marisa Chavez!

Nonprofits are able to achieve their mission thanks to amazing volunteers. One of our first volunteers to onboard was Marisa Chavez. She became part of COR as our Social Media Volunteer and helped launch our channels bringing educational, interesting, and fun posts to our audience.

You can read a little about her below.

“My name’s Marisa Chavez and I LOVE doing new things! This could be trying new foods, clothing stores, meeting new people, or even moving 1000 miles away from home to a city with not one person you know! Which is exactly what I did after graduating high school. I am from a relatively small city Azusa, California and moved to Idaho’s capital, Boise! I am wrapping up my undergrad and receiving a Bachelors in Marketing and enjoying every step of it! Although I have enjoyed my time in Boise, I am eager to return to Los Angeles and begin my new chapter of life. I believe we all have greatness within ourselves and with a little hard work and sacrifice we can excel in anything we want to do!”

Since she wrote the bio, she has graduated and returned home to Los Angeles. She was able to take the experience she received in college, work and volunteering to secure a full-time job in an area that she is interested in. The best part about volunteering with COR Foundation is that you can gain new skills or share your current expertise, learn new things, collaborate, and make an impact on the world. You will also always be apart of our COR family.

Thanks for all your hard work Marisa! 🙂
